Evidence-Based Work in the Dutch Welfare Sector

  Abstract

The article addresses the topic of evidence-based work in the welfare sector in the Netherlands. It is argued that there is insufficient evidence-based practice in social work and the reasons for this are discussed. Ways to develop evidence-based practice are discussed and it is recommended that welfare professionals and researchers work more closely together.
